COMPACT SIZE. PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE.

The Quick Attach Limb Cutter 4 is a 48-inch tractor limb cutter and brush trimmer built to make roadside clearing, right-of-way maintenance, fence line cleanup, and vegetation management safer, faster, and more efficient.

Designed for skid steers, tractors, excavators, and boom mowers, it features a compact 48-inch cutting path that delivers precise trimming and dependable performance in tighter work areas. Need a wider cut and more reach? The 72-inch Limb Cutter 6 trims limbs up to 6 inches with up to 24 feet of vertical reach.

LC4 SS LC4 EX LC4 TR

BUILT FOR FENCE LINES, FIELD EDGES, AND TIGHTER WORK AREAS

The Limb Cutter 4 puts a 48-inch cutting path on a skid steer, an excavator, or a tractor. Its smaller footprint makes it easy to steer along fence lines, between trees, and down trails where a wider cutter will not fit, while still cutting limbs up to 6 inches and trimming as high as 18 feet. The reversible rotor clears material buildup so you spend less time stopped.

  • Fence line trimming on farms and ranches
  • Field edge and pasture border clearing
  • Trail and lane maintenance
  • Easements and property lines
  • Roadside and right-of-way trimming
  • Overgrowth around buildings and yards

Running a tractor? The LC4 TR is our tractor tree trimmer for limbs up to 6 inches. For ground-level brush along the same fence line, pair it with one of our tractor brush mowers. Need a wider cut and more reach on a skid steer or excavator? See the 72-inch Limb Cutter 6.

The Limb Cutter 4 sits in the middle of our five limb cutters: the same 6-inch limb capacity as the Limb Cutter 6 in a smaller 48-inch head, and the only 6-inch model that also fits tractors. Choose the Limb Cutter 4 when you need full 6-inch cutting power on a tractor, or a narrower head for fence lines and tight spaces. For long roadside runs on a skid steer or excavator, step up to the 72-inch Limb Cutter 6. For lighter trimming on a tractor loader, the Junior Limb Cutter handles limbs up to 4 inches, and the Compact Limb Cutter handles up to 3 inches. For a clamp-on option on an existing bucket, there's the Bucket Mount Limb Cutter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I put the Limb Cutter 4 on my tractor?
Yes. The Limb Cutter 4 comes in a tractor version, the LC4 TR, which mounts on the front of the tractor. It is the only Quick Attach limb cutter that cuts 6-inch limbs on a tractor. Call (866) 428-8224 with your tractor's make and model and we will confirm the fit.
What machines does the Limb Cutter 4 fit?
It comes in three versions: LC4 SS for skid steers, LC4 EX for excavators, and LC4 TR for tractors. Each uses the same 48-inch cutting head with 34 dual-edge fixed teeth at 3,000 RPM. The skid steer version mounts to the universal skid steer quick-attach plate.
How thick a limb can it cut, and how high can it reach?
The Limb Cutter 4 cuts limbs up to 6 inches in diameter and trims up to 18 feet high. Exact reach depends on your machine's lift height and arm or loader length. That reach lets one operator trim fence lines, trails and field edges from the seat, without ladders or climbing.
What hydraulic flow does the Limb Cutter 4 need?
Every machine's auxiliary flow is different, so check the number listed in your operator's manual before ordering. Many standard-flow skid steers deliver around 17 to 25 GPM, and tractors vary widely. Our guide to standard-flow vs. high-flow skid steer attachments explains how to find your number.
What does the reversible rotor do?
Reversing the rotor changes the direction the teeth spin, which helps clear brush and small limbs that have built up in the cutting head. That means fewer stops to clear material by hand and less downtime on the job.
Is the Limb Cutter 4 an excavator brush cutter?
Not in the usual sense. Most excavator brush cutters are rotary decks with blades underneath that mow brush and saplings at ground level. The Limb Cutter 4 is a limb trimmer: a toothed rotor that cuts limbs and overhanging growth, often held upright. For ground-level clearing on an excavator, see our Mega Reach excavator brush cutter. Many crews run both, one for the ground and one for the canopy.
Should I choose the Limb Cutter 4 or the Limb Cutter 6?
Both cut limbs up to 6 inches at 3,000 RPM. Choose the Limb Cutter 4 if you run a tractor, or if you work fence lines and tight spaces where a 48-inch head is easier to place. Choose the Limb Cutter 6 for long roadside and right-of-way runs on a skid steer or excavator, where its 72-inch width and reach up to 24 feet cover more ground per pass.
How much does it cost, and where is it made?
Pricing depends on the version and your machine, so we quote each Limb Cutter 4 individually. Use Get a Quote or call (866) 428-8224. Financing is available, and our trade-in program can put your current attachment toward a new one. The Limb Cutter 4 is made in the USA by Quick Attach, based in Alexandria, Minnesota.
