Brush Buster | Skid Steer Rotary Brush Mower | Brush Cutter

Our Most Versatile Skid Steer Brush Mower.

The Quick Attach Brush Buster is built for demanding brush clearing, land reclamation, and vegetation management where maximum durability and terrain-following performance matter.

Designed for skid steers, the Brush Buster is a heavy-duty brush cutter and brush hog attachment with an industry-leading floating deck and a large rear roller that follows ground contours for a smooth ride and a consistent cut across uneven terrain. Its reinforced bottom deck ring keeps the blades properly aligned while increasing deck strength, and the centered top linkage with an adjustable mounting system maintains even cutting pressure where traditional strap-supported designs fall short.

Constructed from rugged 1/4-inch steel with overlapping 1/2-inch end plate reinforcements, the Brush Buster is engineered for years of demanding use. Its exclusive Float-n-Tilt™ system allows the deck to float independently, delivering a clean, even cut across rolling terrain, ditches, and uneven landscapes. Whether you're clearing heavy brush, cutting saplings up to 6 inches in diameter, mulching overgrowth, maintaining trails, reclaiming overgrown property, or managing fence lines, this skid steer brush hog delivers the durability, control, and cutting performance professionals rely on. Running a mini skid steer instead? See the Brush Buster Mini for the same cutting power in a more compact package. Working with standing trees rather than brush? The Power Axe Tree Shear grips and cuts stems up to 17 inches in a single pass, making it the companion attachment once material grows past what a mower can handle.

Skid Steer Brush Cutter, Brush Hog, and Rotary Mower in One

Buyers call this kind of attachment different things, a skid steer brush cutter, a brush hog, a rotary brush mower, and the Brush Buster is all of them. Whatever you call it, the job is the same: turn heavy brush, saplings and overgrowth into mulch in a single pass. What separates a serious brush hog from a light-duty one is build and cutting capacity, and the Brush Buster is a heavy-duty brush cutter rated for saplings up to 6 inches, with a one-piece deck built for daily commercial land clearing.

The most important thing to check before you buy any skid steer brush hog is hydraulic flow. The Brush Buster runs on both standard flow and high flow skid steers, anywhere from 13 to 32 gallons per minute, which covers most machines on the market. Standard-flow loaders will run it; high-flow loaders will run it faster and hold speed in the heaviest material. If your machine sits at the low end of the flow range, a hydraulic power pack raises the available flow so the cutter reaches full speed. If you are not sure of your machine's flow, send us the make and model and we will confirm the fit.

The floating deck is what sets the Brush Buster apart from a fixed-deck brush cutter. The Automatic Float-n-Tilt system and large rear roller let the deck follow the ground instead of scalping high spots or missing low ones, so you get a consistent cut across ditches, trails and uneven terrain without constantly working the loader arms. It comes in 66, 72 and 78 inch cutting widths, so you can match the width to your machine and your job, and it is built right here in the USA.

Running a smaller machine? The Brush Buster Mini is built for mini skid steers and stand-on loaders.

It's been everything I hoped it would be as a cutter. I love how it floats to the contour of whatever you're cutting. Well built. Ive been recommending it to my friends

Mower works great on my 595S with OTT. I purchased the mower in October 2022, used it that fall and into the winter after deer hunting to open up shooting lanes and trails through tall, overgrown brush. The video is taken mid July 2024 heavy wet tall grass. Mower didn’t miss a beat. Really like the fact that you can hit the float button on the machine and with the rear roller on the mower and the floating deck you can just plug along in the mower follows the contour of the ground. I had a similar mower from a competitor without the floating deck and the roller, this one from Quick Attach is far more superior and easy to run.

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review! The floating deck is a gamechanger and the shooting trail looks clean, hope you got a big one this year!

I’ve used brush cutter for several years in a variety of situations. Constantly impressed with how much brush it will work though and the diameter of materials it will wack up into pulp. Reversible blades are a nice feature too. Having to keep the rear roller on the ground to operate is a nice safety feature, but limits what you can work do while working a steep hill side. All in all a great brush cutter!

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review and the pictures! Sounds like its getting the job done, a steep hillside can be tough to get but we care more about your safety. It can be dangerous with the heavy equipment on some of the steep hills.

Awesome brush mulching mower. It makes clearing ground an addiction. It's amazing the trees this can handle. I have many of their attachments because of their quality. Quick Attach is the best attachment designers and makers in the business. I've become friends with my salesman Jordan because he's honest, knowledgeable about what questions I have and just good people. My opinion is sure you could try saving money buy from other companies but you will not get the quality so in the long run cheaper will cost you more. You want an attachment that works like it should and can handle the task than buy from Quick Attach. You won't regret it.

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review! We care about the quality of our attachments and want to know the whole process of them being made so we can give our guarantee that our product is made to be the best, and can take some damage. American made baby!

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review, we are glad you are enjoying your brush buster!

The machine works as advertised. Do remember to lube the Large Roller at the Tractor end, I skimped, and had bearings to replace. Otherwise, chose the optional valve to reverse the blades, very convenient. Also would suggest the optional flexibility feature if you have uneven ground as we do. All in all, a well made mower that has served well for more than 6-years.

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review, yes it is important to lube the roller. We are glad you got it all figured out and are enjoying your Brush Buster!

Good machine, takes a beating if need be and also with shari blades will leave a nice finish, hydro motor is tough. I'll give this machine 5 Stars, service it, keep blades sharp and you're going to get a good return on your investment, molitor athletic field s.

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review, like you said if you take care of your equipment it will last longer, be more efficient and have less problems. Glad to hear you are enjoying your Brush Buster.

Working with Jordan Pieske is always a pleasure! The equipment I have bought is always as advertised!!

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review, Jordan is a good guy! We always want to be transparent with our customer's so they know exactly what they are purchasing.

Don't use it to mow trees so that part is unknown to me. It is an excellent mower, for weeds, I have mowed 1" diameter weeds taller than the cab on skid steer. I have used it extensively and am still on the original set of blades, I do take a lot of caution to avoid larger rocks but have mowed a lot of scoria and gravel areas. I may need to add wheels on front because it doe gouge a lot when mowing grassier areas. Overall a very well made mower that meets my needs.

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review! It sounds like you take good care of your attachments and that's the way to do it so you don't need to buy new blades very often.

Just a pleasure to work with. Plenty of power, effective, readily controlled, very efficient. Well designed and built.

Store owner replied: Thank your for your kind words, glad you are enjoying your Brush Buster!

Works great. Love the floating deck combined with the floating arms on the track loader. Roller and casters are very sturdy.

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for your response, glad to hear you like the floating deck/arms combo, its a game changer.

Cody my sales guy was very knowledgable and made the experience easy and quick. Great unit. I run it on a asv rt120f and the mower keeps up. Built with good quality parts and steel.

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thanks for the review! We pride ourselves on the quality of our products, glad Cody was able to make your experience quick and easy.

Haven’t gotten to use it much yet but so far it’s still a learning experience. This next summer will be a good test and better information time to seek feedback back. Thanks so far happy.. Wade

The Brush Buster mower not only met, but exceeded my expectations. It handles not only heavy brush, but small trees as well. Thanks Quik Attach for a quality product!

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: We appreciate your response! The Brush Buster is a beast and can handle those small trees as well. Glad to hear it exceeded your expectations!

We have a 55 acre horse farm. We've used the mower to keep our road ditches cleaned up. We also have over a mile of trails along the river that we used the mower to widen and remove fallen trees and saplings. We also mowed about 6 acres of prarie grass and cockleburs that were over an inch thick. It's been a huge help in keeping our farm looking good.

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review! Glad we can help keep your farm looking good, those cockleburs can be a pain.

This brush cutter is a great fit for my ctl. They way it oscillates makes using it very simple and requires almost no skill.

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review! The oscillation is key for a good brush cutter/mower, glad to hear it helped make things easier for you.

It's a beast! We took out all the brush in our pasture and also some small trees growing in the brush. It's a great machine. It does, however, over heat the hydraulics on our Volvo MC90B. We cleaned the hydraulic cooler too. Any suggestions?

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

This thing is a monster. On my SVL95-2 I end up running it in the highest LOW FLOW settings of the machine, to get better drive on the tracks. It still cuts great on this setting and lets me drive at reasonable rates. I did put some outrigger wheels on it so that it didn't want to dig into the ground. I's recommend the optional wheel kit for it, but I made my own.

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for sharing your experience. We completely agree that adding outrigger wheels makes a noticeable difference in preventing the machine from digging in and helps maintain stability. It’s great to hear how you’ve customized the machine to match your needs.

I really like the mower. The only improvement I would recommend is the front skid pad. It sticks up above the mower and catches limbs when you back up.

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review! We will take a look at the skid pads and make some adjustments.

I like the roller on the back to take the weight off the machine. I also like the side to side travel so it contours the land.

Brush Buster - Rotary Brush Cutter/Mower

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review! Glad to hear the attachment is working well and doing its job.

Only a few things that are an inconvenience. 1-For my use I needed to add front wheels to keep skids from plowing in sod. 2-Material always wraps up in left roller bearing. 3-Sometimes when starting machine it will be horribly outta balance. I believe a blade will have turned ahead during shutdown causing vibration. Must stop and restart several times to remedy. Other than that it’s a good mower.

Brush Buster Questions

Is a brush hog the same as a brush cutter?

For a skid steer attachment, yes. Brush hog, brush cutter and rotary brush mower all describe the same kind of tool: a rotary attachment that cuts heavy brush, saplings and overgrowth. The Brush Buster is all three in one. The differences between machines come down to cutting capacity, deck design and build quality, not the name, and the Brush Buster is a heavy-duty unit rated for saplings up to 6 inches with a floating deck for a consistent cut.

What hydraulic flow do I need to run the Brush Buster?

The Brush Buster runs on both standard flow and high flow skid steers, from 13 to 32 gallons per minute, which covers most machines. Standard-flow loaders will run it fine; high-flow loaders run it faster and hold cutting speed in the heaviest material. If your machine is at the low end of the range, a hydraulic power pack raises the flow so the cutter reaches full speed. If you are unsure of your machine's flow, send us the make and model and we will confirm the fit before you order.

What size material can the Brush Buster cut?

The Brush Buster is rated to cut brush and saplings up to 6 inches in diameter, depending on your machine's hydraulic flow and the type of material. It handles grass, weeds, dense brush and saplings, and the floating deck lets it follow the ground for a clean, consistent cut rather than scalping high spots. For heavier standing timber you would step up to a dedicated forestry mulcher, but for brush, saplings and overgrown property the Brush Buster is built for daily commercial use.

What cutting widths does the Brush Buster come in?

Three: 66 inch, 72 inch and 78 inch. A narrower deck is easier to maneuver around obstacles, fence lines and trails, while a wider deck clears open ground faster. All three use the same heavy-duty floating-deck design and mount to standard skid steer quick-attach plates. If you run a mini skid steer or stand-on loader instead, the Brush Buster Mini is the right size for that machine.
