How does it react to roots? Will it pulverize them or do they get clogged in the drum? This piece of equipment is very well built. I was unsure of what to expect quality wise as some reviews say that their stuff is just repackaged Chinese equipment and the is very much not true with the power rake / soil conditioner that I bought. This thing is well thought out and very well built. I haven't used it a bunch, but have used it several times and don't have any complaints, it does exactly what I was hoping it would do, level and remove debris from the soil and it also does a great job regrading rock driveways as well. At this point I am very pleased with my purchase and would definitely consider Quick Attached for future purchases. My homestead is in Northeast Pa. & is extremely rocky. A lot of shale. I killed the tiller on back of my tractor in just a short time. The soil conditioner just takes it in stride. I use in on the gravel drive & acres of food plots for deer. After 2 seasons nothing has broken (unlike the tiller) & I don't mind small shale on the surface. The tiller left huge Bolders along with broken teeth & the main shaft. It goes deep enough for me to plant seed with nothing else required. I love it. If you are on the fence about one of these, JUMP and get it! Worth every penny.. We use a Mahindra 2638HST Cab to run it and it runs no problem. We have the 72" version without the hydraulic angle and it works perfectly for what we were trying to accomplish. We bought it to smooth our pasture out without complete destruction of the existing grass and it accomplishes this with ease. It also has found every 3pt hitch pin I've lost over the years that was sitting in the soil (I KNEW they were somewhere!) Before use, we mow as close as possible, then use the soil conditioner, then use a 3pt rake to further remove any remaining clumps of grass (this is bermudagrass) into one row. It works like a charm! Also John was great to work with, keeping us informed every step of the way from order, to build, to shipping. 7 foot Power soil conditioner I bought this attachment around 6 months ago I don’t know how I made it for so many years without it! Heavy built and very powerful I have done several jobs with it and it saved me hours of hand work! I would recommend this attachment to anyone who is in the market for a power style rake!
