Residential and business locations must have ample accessibility for a semi to be able to unload equipment. A smaller box truck with liftgate services is available with prior arrangements with your Product Specialist. There is a $75 charge for the liftgate service.
The customer is responsible for having the proper equipment on-site to unload the semi-truck when it arrives. Most attachments require a skid steer or tractor with pallet forks to unload the equipment. There must be someone at the location that is at least 18 years of age and authorized to sign and receive the shipment. The person(s) that unloads the equipment is responsible for inspecting the equipment and signing the delivery receipt.
Minor scuffs or scratches are not uncommon with LTL freight. On the Bill of Lading or Freight Bill, WRITE any shortages or damages on the paperwork before you sign it. If damaged heavily, take pictures for documentation when possible. Then call the freight company to report any problems.
When you sign the Bill of Lading, this constitutes acceptance of the equipment as in good order. If you do not inspect before signing, you are waiving your right to collect on a damage claim even if the damage is discovered later (known as concealed damage).
You may change the original shipping address before equipment ships from the manufacturer’s dock. In most cases, with a change of address, the freight rate may change especially if the address is in another zip code or is not accessible with a semi, needing a smaller liftgate truck to deliver the equipment. Once the equipment has shipped from the manufacturer’s dock and the customer requires a change of address, a re-consignment fee of $85.00 and any additional freight cost must be paid at the time the shipping address is changed.
Purchases that are exempt from sales tax, require receipt of a properly completed sales tax exemption form, before the order will be fulfilled.
Returned items will be assessed a 20% restocking fee plus all freight charges. This only applies to new and unused items returned within seven days of delivery. Used equipment may not be returned. Pre-approval is required for all returns on new equipment.
Order cancellations after three days of the order date will be charged a 5% cancellation fee.
If you choose to pick up your product at the factory, you will have 10 business days to pick up your equipment order once complete. After 10 days, there will be a $25 per day storage fee. If the equipment is not picked up after 15 days, the equipment will be put back into inventory and a 5% cancellation fee will be charged.
